Our Fulfilment Process

From Delivery to Returns, Let Us Handle Every Step

You, the customer, didn’t get into business to be really good at logistics and warehousing. Your dream is something else. Our dream and passion is about being really good at warehousing and logistics. This is why we exist. And because we are passionate about that bit of the whole process, we can do it really well.

01. Goods Receiving and Warehousing Services

We operate from two warehouse sites in Newark in the midlands. These sites are well served by all transport links and are in an excellent geographic position to receive goods from all over the world. Once we have completed the onboarding process the next step is to get your goods into our warehouses and safely stored.

  • Unload the goods from the lorry into our goods inbound area
  • Check all the goods are present and correct
  • Break down palletised goods and put them in the designated picking locations
  • Book all goods into the warehouse management system so they are located and quantified
  • Report to you any anomalies, damage, or discrepancies from the shipping manifest.

Getting this first step right sets us up for success in the rest of the process. The key to a good inbound process is organization and communication. If we plan in advance for when large containers will arrive then we can have our people ready and the inbound process is done effortlessly. Having large containers turn up randomly is never good so it all comes down to that vital communication with your account manager.

02. Integration and onboarding

The onboarding and integration process is actually relatively straightforward for most customers.

We will.

  • Assess the quantities of stock you will store with us and allocate the necessary space
  • Assign you an account manager who will be one of the people actually working on your account doing the picking and packing
  • Work out which quantities need to be in picking areas and which will remain on pallets
  • Establish integrations with your order management system or systems (we can integrate with pretty much anything)
  • Establish other ways you might need to place orders for example by email or manually directly on our portal
  • Establish any special packing requirements
  • Establish any kitting or other value-added services you require.

03. Order Handling From Any Source to Our System

As part of the onboarding process, we will have established how your orders will arrive with us. There will normally be a combination of ways this can happen as most customers will have multiple sales channels. So, it is important to get organized. Luckily most of this can be automated via systems integrations. We can integrate our warehouse management system with almost anything else via open API and we can give you access to the system so you can check order status, place orders manually, or amend existing orders.

We believe that having direct contact with our people who are working your account is vital for good order handling. Most of the time the order will simply flow through the integrations but when you need someone to step in and change something you will be able to speak directly to the person who can make that change for that vital order. No middlemen, no service desk, just direct contact with the person who is doing the doing.

04. Pick and Pack Services Tailored to Your Needs

We pick and pack the goods to your pre agreed specifications. We will charge you for the time this takes.

05. Flexible Shipping Solutions for Cost-Effective Deliveries

We then have regular collections from a variety of different couriers who will collect and deliver your package. The courier we chose will depend on what is best for your business, and we will agree this upfront. We will make a margin on the delivery but because we buy in bulk your price will generally be cheaper than if you purchased yourself.

06. Efficient Returns Management and Restocking Services

We will manage returns and restocking. We will charge you for the time this takes

Grow as You Go

Flexible Pricing for Predictable Profits

The whole process is entirely scalable. The more you use, the more you pay but the more you use, the more product you are shipping and so the more profit you will be making.

We end up with a fixed cost per average order so you can build this into your margin calculations and ensure that all your deals are profitable.

More details on how we work out pricing can be found in our pricing section.
